Bungee Jumpers A group meeting for social outings to a variety of interesting places. Bible Study Group : Wednesday morning 10 am A group who meet to discuss issues of faith and how it relates to daily life. Prayer Chain : Wednesday 6 pm A group who meet by phone, passing on prayer concerns in the community. Craft Group : Wednesday 10 am A group who do various needle and craft work. Meditation & Healing/Well-being Group 10:30-11:00 on the fourth Sunday of each month, recapturing some of the atmosphere of the early church, meeting in a quiet contemplative manner. Film Group : Friday evenings A group who meet once a month to go to the cinema and then have coffee afterwards. Good company, and usually a good film. Walking Group : Wednesday mornings A group who go walking each week, around Lake Ginninderra, and then have a cup of coffee together. Other walkers always welcome. Men's breakfast Five times a year, a breakfast is held on Saturday mornings at 8am, with a guest speaker. It provides an opportunity for men to meet and enjoy a simple social setting with a stimulating talk. It finishes by 9:30 and costs $5. Gold Digger's Grief and Loss Group A group who meet to share a meal and experiences, for people who have lost someone they love. Dinner Groups For adult singles and couples, enjoying a shared dinner in their own homes, four times a year. Easter Happening During the week before Holy Week each year, a large number of people from our church and from other churches in North Belconnen re-enact the Easter story for groups of school children. There are five scenes in different parts of the church property: the last supper, the garden of Gethsemane, the trial, the crucifixion, and the tomb.
A lot of effort is put into creating the atmosphere of 2000 years ago. The children get very involved in the story. For many children, this is the only way that they can learn what Easter is really about.
